GIVING OPPORTUNITIES

Contributing to Shawnee’s Habitat for Humanity is a great way to make a difference in our community.

We rely on the generosity of local individuals, churches, and businesses to carry out our mission. Donations of funds, materials, property, or professional services are greatly appreciated. All donations are tax-deductible.

In addition, because we donate 10 percent of all unrestricted donations to Habitat for Humanity International's building efforts overseas, a financial contribution to Shawnee Habitat for Humanity makes a difference the world over.

Tools and Supplies Donations 
In addition to construction materials, Shawnee Habitat for Humanity is frequently in need of tools, building supplies and office supplies. Our wish list outlines the many ways you, your company, school or organization can contribute to the mission of building decent, affordable homes. Please contact the Habitat office at 214-0434.

Donate Professional Services
Pro-bono work by lawyers, licensed architects, engineers, surveyors, and other professionals helps us to keep our costs down, so that we can build more homes.

Sponsor a Home
The mission of Habitat for Humanity of Shawnee is to provide struggling families with a simple, decent place to live. The gift of home sponsorship will change the lives of a family today, and for generations to come. A Habitat house is more than a house. It is a home. It builds friendships, it is a symbol of hope, it enhances lives, it improves health, it deepens faith and it bridges socioeconomic levels.

With cooperation and communication, this home will be a life-changing and life-long memory for all involved. Sponsoring a Habitat home means that you are providing $30,000 for the materials to build the home. Would you consider providing the funds necessary to build a Habitat home in Shawnee and extend the hand-up to a family in need?

FAITH BASED RELATIONS
Habitat of Shawnee depends upon the support of the faith communities in our area for volunteers, prayer and donations. If you are a member of a faith community in our service area and would like to arrange for your group to volunteer, to make a donation, or would like to have someone come speak to your group, please contact the Habitat office at 214-0434.

LUNCH SPONSORS

Ideal for groups
We are looking for individuals, groups, and/or businesses to provide lunch for our volunteers on the construction site. Lunches are needed for 10-15 people on Saturdays and occasionally during the week as well.

This is an excellent way to be involved! You may come out to the work site and bring the lunch yourself, in order to see the work that is being done and to meet volunteers and construction staff or we will be happy to come and pick it up. Anything from pizza to peanut butter and jelly will be greatly appreciated.

Funds and in-kind donations are needed to help pay for, or defray the following expenses:

Administrative Costs: Administrative assistant Office, phone service Office supplies, postage, printing Accounting, auditing, mortgage servicing Credit bureau service fees

This is a service that Habitat For Humanity International (HFHI) offers to all affiliates. Please note the following:

• You can designate which affiliate you want to get your donation (or let the International office apply "as needed")
• The designated affiliate gets every cent you donate (any credit card processing fee is covered by HFHI)
• You can make your gift "in memory of", "in appreciation", "happy birthday", "Merry Christmas" or for a host of other occasions.
• HFHI handles the cost and effort of mailing receipts to donors and gift cards.
