Workday Schedule
WORKDAY SCHEDULE FOR 519 S. Pottenger

All scheduled workdays are Saturdays. We begin at 8:30 and continue to afternoon, though people may leave when they need to.
 

We'd like for groups—Sunday School classes, attorneys, civic clubs, teachers, a bank, etc.—to choose a Saturday to work. We need five to ten volunteers each workday.
 

To reserve a Saturday for your group, send an E-mail to HFHVolunteers@shawneehabitat.org or call Marguerite at 214-0434.

This Saturday, 16 August 2008, is our next workday at 519 S. Pottenger.  Work will begin at 8:30 AM.  We have trim to install, fence to complete, porch rails to install and double doors to hang.  Make plans to join us as we finish the final projects so that Heather and her daughters may move into their new home!

Work scheduled this Sat. includes roofing and siding. 

We have a trailer full of tools so there is no need to bring tools to the job site unless you have a favorite hammer or such that you prefer to use.  But as far as drills, saws, etc. we have our own and feel it is best to use them and then if they get torn up we replace them, whereas we can not be in the business of replacing volunteer tools.

Work this Saturday, August 18, has been cancelled due to the potential for excessive heat. 

Just a reminder that this Saturday, August 11 is our next work day at 519 S. Pottenger.  Mike, our construction supervisor, would like to begin working at 8:00 AM.  Dress in light colors, wear sun screen and remember to drink a LOT of water - it will be HOT! 

Thank you for your patience! It took longer than anticipated to get a clear title to our next building site — but we finally did and our FIRST WORK DAY is scheduled for 14 July (weather permitting!) Work days are scheduled for every other Saturday — beginning at 8:30 am — so mark your calendars NOW!
